Lidl Spring Wine Tour

As we’re all aware Lidl have some cracking wines at cracking prices.  The Monthly Wine Tours consist of an extra special selection of wines which are normally only available in smaller parcels than Lidl’s Core Range. We’ll have an interesting selection of white, red and no doubt some sparkling and rosés for everyone to enjoy.  

However, please remember the wines will not be in store until 26 March. We will announce the wines by 16 March.

How do the tastings work?

During the tasting we’ll be giving you a brief overview of where the wines come from and a bit about the style or grape variety and then of course we’ll taste them.

We’ll taste 6 wines and it’s completely up to you if you’d like to buy any or all of the wines to have ready to taste along with us. Alternatively, if you’d like to join us to find out what everyone else recommends then you’re welcome to. However, the more people who have one, two or even all six of the wines, the more interesting and fun it will be since everyone will enjoy hearing each other’s views. If you’ve tried or have any other favourites within the range we’d love to hear about these too.

The tasting will be presented by Wine Events Scotland’s Diana Thompson – listed in the Top 100 Influential People in Drinks by Drinks Retailing and awarded Consumer Wine Communicator of the Year 2024 at The People’s Choice Wine Awards.  Lidl’s Chris Scott will also join us and will keep us on track answering any questions you might have.

It’s going to be both fun and informative and both tastings will also be a great opportunity to experience a completely honest, independent and impartial review of these wines.  At the end of the tasting everyone gets to score the wines so we have a chance to see which are the favourites and compare our scores with Lidl’s which are often different!
