Wine Events Scotland 10th Anniversary Dinner

A very special evening celebrating 10 years of Wine Events Scotland, bringing together Australian wine, fabulous food and a few threads from my own story along the way.

This year marks 10 years of Wine Events Scotland, so I'm celebrating with a very special Australian wine dinner at Wedgwood the Restaurant – a natural choice for so many reasons.

My career in wine began in Australia, where I started out making wine. Later, I spent many years working with Southcorp Wines – the group behind some of Australia's most famous names, including Penfolds, Lindemans, Seppelt, Wynns Coonawarra and Rosemount – so it's only fitting that Australian wine should be at the heart of the evening. With the recent sad news of the passing of the wonderful Matthew Jukes, the choice feels even more poignant now.

And where better to hold it than Wedgwood the Restaurant – previously a very special client of mine when I had my PR and marketing business for hotels and restaurants, and also the place where we held a memorable lunch with Matthew in 2019.

You'll enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, followed by a four-course dinner created by Paul Wedgwood, with each course paired with two Australian wines selected from Matthew Jukes' 100 Best Australian Wines. I'll present each pair as we go, sharing a little about the wines, their producers and the places they come from.

The selection will be predominantly red, with some stunning whites among the eight wines too, giving you a great opportunity to enjoy these exceptional Australian wines alongside Paul Wedgwood's creations.

It will be a lovely opportunity to celebrate 10 years of Wine Events Scotland with great food, some fabulous Australian wines and, of course, your company too.
