Fizz Feast Taster - Lidl

As part of the run-up Fizz Feast on Saturday 19 November at Edinburgh Academy, now in its sixth year, we’re giving you a brief introduction to the fabulous feast and fizz exhibitors lined up to tantalise taste buds and please palates.

Popular all year round for excellent, value-for-money wines, we are delighted to welcome Lidl back to Fizz Feast. With everything from Cava, Prosecco, Crémant and Champagne, the award-winning supermarket wine retailer will have something special for every palate and price point. Fizz Feast guests will also be among the first to try Lidl’s hugely popular new Christmas Wine Tour. Crémant is sparkling wine made outside the Champagne region, with eight different regions in France making this delicious drink.  Made using the same production process – Traditional Method – as Champagne, Crémant is made from grapes synonymous to the regions in which they are produced.  Lidl’s Crémant de Loire is a crisp, smooth balanced bubbly that is perfect as an aperitif. Often underrated, Cava is a wonderfully fresh sparkling wine. Arestel Cava from Spain is dry, finely balanced and extremely good value, which is perfect for large gatherings. If you haven’t tried an English sparkling wine before, now is your chance with Broadwood’s Folly Rosé. There will also be a few excellently priced Champagnes to try.
