Fizz Feast Taster -Riedel Glassware

As part of the run-up Fizz Feast on Saturday 19 November at Edinburgh Academy, now in its sixth year, we’re giving you a brief introduction to the fabulous feast and fizz exhibitors lined up to tantalise taste buds and please palates. 

This year we’re delighted to welcome regular exhibitor Riedel back to the Fizz Hall.

The perfect partner for a sparkling wine festival, Riedel, established in 1756, has been producing glassware in Europe for more than 265 years, through 11 generations. In other words, Riedel knows a thing or two about glasses. If you’ve ever been intrigued about the taste difference drinking from the right glass makes, now is your chance to find out. Still family owned and operated by Georg J Riedel (10th generation) and Maximilian J Riedel (11th generation), Riedel glasses are renowned for being the perfect wine partner. These glasses have been specially designed to enhance the grape varieties and types, to ensure the drinker fully enjoys the drink’s taste and aromas. Through a series of tests, it has been determined the shape of the glass has the ability to concentrate the wine’s aroma, intensifying the varietal characteristics. At Fizz Feast, Riedel will showcase a selection of different glasses, some of which will be for sale, so it’s a great opportunity to get the lowdown from the experts as to what shape might be the best match for your favourite wine.

Fizz Feast is on Saturday 19 November 2022 at The Edinburgh Academy, 42 Henderson Row, Edinburgh. There are two sessions to choose from: 12-3pm and 4-7pm, and plenty of masterclasses. Tickets start at £25 per person.  Click here to join us
