Fizz Feast Taster - Sugarbird Wines

As part of the run-up Fizz Feast on Saturday 19 November at Edinburgh Academy, now in its sixth year, we’re giving you a brief introduction to the fabulous feast and fizz exhibitors lined up to tantalise taste buds and please palates. 

This year we’re delighted to welcome new exhibitor Sugarbird Wines to the Fizz Hall. On the SugarBird stand, look out for De Grendel Proposal Hill Brut Rosé, a perfect welcoming drink to enjoy with canapes; the Boschendal, Brut NV, SA, is pale gold with delicate bubbles and layers of citrus; while the Boschendal, Brut Rosé NV, SA, is a delicate cherry blossom pink with the tiniest of bubbles which will race to the surface of the glass. SugarBird is Aberdeen’s first dedicated wine bar and wine shop, where you can pop in for a glass of wine or pick up a bottle (or three). Located in the West End of the city, SugarBird has a curated collection of around 200 wines, with a focus on the wines of South Africa. The wine shop has 20 wines by the glass to taste and hosts weekly tutored wine tastings.

If you don’t live near Aberdeen, SugarBird offers tracked national delivery and free local delivery. Take the opportunity to speak to the wine merchant on the stand and ask for advice on finding something new to try. Whether you love it or not, this event is the chance to try things you may not have come across before. We have gathered a group of wonderfully passionate sparkling wine and food specialists together for one day only, so it’s well worth taking the opportunity to pick their brains and share their years of experience.
