Each week on a Tuesday and a Thursday in the run up to Fizz Feast we’re focusing on one of our fabulous exhibitors to give you a flavour of the treats in store at Fizz Feast on Saturday 17 November.
Today’s Fizz Feast Taster is all about another one of our fabulous Fizz Feast exhibitors who is returning this year. The Tobermory Fish Company is a true artisan food company. Heading for their 50th anniversary, this award winning company based in the picturesque harbour of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull is family owned. Started by her grandfather Sally and her mother Rosie are now at the helm.

The Tobermory Fish Company puts flavour first and foremost and uses both a long, slow cold smoke and a faster hot smoky roast. Cold smoking is the traditional Scottish way of preserving fish which has been used for generations. It also has the advantage of reducing calories whilst retaining the same protein content of the fish and delicious flavour.
It’s perhaps no surprise that when The Tobermory Fish Company was featured in Landward last December, Scotland’s National Chef Gary Mclean tasted the smoked trout and commended it highly. His initial word was “WOW” – short and sweet but says it all. The same was certainly being said at Fizz Feast last year and Sally’s stand was far from quiet.

The smoked trout is available in four different pack sizes ranging from 1kg to the recently launched smaller, handy “Deli” packs. Orders can be placed via their website and are charged at £4.50 or are free for orders over £25. Alternatively be ready to place your order at Fizz Feast to take advantage of the Festival Offer and if you already know what you’d like drop Sally a line and she’ll have it ready for you. Either way be sure to visit The Tobermory Fish Company at Fizz Feast this year.
Fizz Feast is a true Celebration of Sparkling Wine & Artisan Food being held on Saturday 17 November at The Edinburgh Academy on Henderson Row. There are two sessions to choose from 12-3pm and 4-7pm.
Tickets are available from £22.50. Join us this year
