As part of the run-up to our fourth annualFizz Feast on Saturday 16 November at Edinburgh Academy, we’re giving you a brief introduction to the fabulous food and fizz exhibitors lined up to tantalise taste buds and please palates.
Prosecco is a hugely popular drink in the UK, with the nation annually consuming around a third of all Prosecco produced. So, the fact that we are welcoming back family firm Zonin for the fourth year running is bound to be a crowd-pleaser.
Established in 1821, when Domenico Zonin planted vines on his family lands, almost 200 years and seven generations later, Zonin is Italy’s largest privately-owned winery and the largest Prosecco vineyard owners, making it one of the world’s most important wine companies. It is still a family business today, run by the wonderful brothers Domenico, Francesco and Michele.

With such a history and reputation, it’s little surprise to hear that there is much to discover about Zonin wines. The sparkling range extends from the well-known signature Prosecco, Zonin 1821, to a Black, White and Grey collection – denoted by the colour of the elegant bottles each of which are a different style of residual sugar (Extra Dry, Brut and Extra Brut) and each has the addition of 15% of a different grape variety to give it a unique style.
Take the time to chat to the team on the Zonin stand because it is fascinating to learn the differences between each wine, and be able to compare and contrast the different styles. This is one of the things we are particularly passionate about at Fizz Feast, letting our visitors discover for themselves the vast range of styles and tastes available. So often we fall into the trap of buying the same thing time and again, but Fizz Feast is a chance to break those old habits and discover something new and exciting.
